Cultured Crop - Garden Tools

Cultured Cop Farms is a registered and licensed commercial farm that based in a small Agricultural Holding called Glen Austin, Johannesburg. Though we are have just started, we have done our detailed market research and feasibility studies and we were able to secure two hectares of land to start our vegetable farm.

At Cultured Crop, we will be involved in the cultivation of crops such as cucumbers, onions tomatoes, chillies, spinach, carrots, green peppers, red peppers, and yellow peppers.

We will also produce South African staples like cabbage, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and beetroot.

Cultured Crop is the brainchild of the eager and budding farmer Dzudzie Faith Netshisaulu.

Born and bread in the Northern Region of South Africa in Limpopo, Ms Netshisaulu grew up in a family of farmers. Her mother and uncle are seasoned farmers, both crop and animal farming.

Raised by a single and hardworking mother, Ms Netshisaulu fell in love with farming, where most crops farmed at their modest family farm were sorghum, tomatoes, water melon, yellow and white maize, to name a few, Ms Netshisaulu pursued Agricultural Science as one of her subjects at High School, even taking up Horticultural Studies as a course at the Tshwane University of Technology. She however had to drop out due to financial difficulties.

Having worked as a journalist, photographer, in the events management sector and now in administration in one of the biggest organizations in South Africa, Ms Netshisaulu has returned to what she loves best, farming.

Cultured Crop is set to produce some of the best organic vegetables in town. We have opted to kick-off our journey with two hectares of spinach. We are in the process of adding other varieties of vegetables so that we can offer a variety to out consumers. We currently employ three workers on a full-time basis, and we plan to add more workers as we grow.

The farm is self-funded, and we are working with very skeletal equipment with no sufficient water source, but we soldier on until we reach great heights.

We would appreciate some capital injection as we strive to better what we have and create employment.  We would also appreciate some guidance from those who have been in the field longer than we have.
